Abstract

A conventional solar battery has problems: a limit of light collecting efficiency, difficulty in the following of sunlight, limitation of a setting space, etc. It is an object to properly overcome these problems, so that a light collecting sheet type solar battery with a good productivity and a low price is developed. The light collecting sheet type solar battery is characterized in having a plastic sheet comprised of a reflective layer and a transparent layer and a stick like or ball like photoelectric converting element arranged in the inside of the plastic sheet. In this case, the transparent layer, the photoelectric converting element and the reflective layer are disposed in order from a sunlight beam receiving surface. With this structure, incident light impinged on the transparent layer not only arrives at the photoelectric converting element directly or after being reflected by the reflective layer but also is reflected by the interface between the air and the transparent layer and light confined in the transparent layer easily arrives at the photoelectric converting element.
