It is intended to provide novel agricultural/horticultural insecticide composition which is excellent in the effect of controlling mites, etc. damaging agricultural/horticultural crops, causes no chemical damage on the treated plants and can be employed at a high safety to both man and beast; a method of using the same; a method of controlling agricultural/horticultural pest insects; and a method of controlling pesticide-tolerant mites. Namely, an agricultural/horticultural insecticide composition characterized by containing a mitochondrial electron transfer inhibitor and ethiprole as the active ingredients.
