Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil de purification de gaz d'échappement pour moteur thermique qui, tout en empêchant toute chute de capacité de purification de gaz d'échappement, utilise simultanément un élément de retenue de NOx et un catalyseur. Un catalyseur de réduction d'occlusion de NOx est placé le long du chemin d'échappement d'un moteur thermique. Le catalyseur de réduction d'occlusion de NOx est fourni dans un substrat ayant une cellule d'arrivée de gaz d'échappement dont le côté aval est obstrué et une cellule de sortie de gaz d'échappement dont le côté amont est obstrué, les cellules d'arrivée et de sortie de gaz d'échappement se jouxtant par une partie paroi de la cellule. Une couche de retenue de NOx est disposée sur la surface interne de la cellule d'arrivée de gaz d'échappement et une couche de catalyseur sur la surface interne de la cellule de sortie de gaz d'échappement.
