Abstract
A buried magnet motor in which the torque is improved to the extent corresponding to the amount of magnets used therein by cutting the leakage flux to the inner connection part of the iron core of the rotor of a motor with high appropriateness and guiding the magnetic flux of more magnets to the outer peripheral surface of the rotor, and which is widely adaptable to variations of the number of poles, the outer diameter of the rotor, and the shaft diameter and comprises a rotator iron core having gap of a consistent simple shape. The buried magnet motor comprises a stator (101), a rotator (102) opposed to the stator (101) with a gap in the radial direction formed therebetween, and magnets (112) the number of which is equal to the number of poles radially arranged on both sides of the magnetic pole part (111a) at the center of each pole of the rotator (102). Gaps (114) each having a shape of a polygon, e.g., generally a pentagon on the inner peripheral side of the rotator iron core (111) between the magnets (112) are provided.
