Abstract

 本発明の蛍光体は、CaSiAlN3結晶と同一の結晶構造を有する無機化合物を母体結晶とする固溶体結晶蛍光体であって、発光中心イオンとしてCeを含み、発光ピーク波長を550~600nmの範囲に持つ黄色発光蛍光体であり、下記組成式で表される。  Ca1-x-ySrxAlSiN3:Ce3+ y (式中、xおよびyは0<x<1、0.001≦y≦0.1を満たす、或いは、xおよびyは0≦x<1、0.005≦y≦0.1を満たす。)  この蛍光体は、青色で発光する励起光源と組み合わせたときに一種類の蛍光体で白色を得ることができ、優れた特性を持つ。
