Abstract

L'invention peut s'utiliser en métallurgie dans la fabrication de produits plats en feuille à partir d'alliages d'aluminium. Le procédé de l'invention comprend le laminage à froid de produits plats en feuille jusqu'à l'obtention d'un état durci et le traitement en surface, ce dernier stade étant répété, de préférence, jusqu'à l'obtention de produits plats en feuille d'épaisseur désirée. Le traitement de surface se fait au moyen d'un faisceau d'ions possédant une masse atomique A≥10 amu, une énergie de 20-40 keV, une densité de courant ionique de 0,1-1 mA/cm2 pendant 5 à 200 sec. L'alliage d'aluminium peut être un alliage de système Al-Mg contenant 5,8-6,8 % en masse de Mg (magnalium), Al-Cu-Mg avec des ajouts (duralumines) et Al-Li-Cu-Mg avec une teneur en lithium de 1,8-2,1 % en masse. Les produits plats en feuille, irradiés par des faisceaux, peuvent être déplacés de façon régulière et ininterrompue par rapport au faisceau d'ions. L'irradiation de la surface peut s'effectuer simultanément des deux côtés. Le procédé permet d'obtenir des produits plats en feuille dans un cycle ininterrompu, de réduire la consommation d'énergie de 2 à 3 fois et de réduire la main d'oeuvre, et ainsi que de réduire d'un à deux ordres de grandeur sa durée.
