Prior art
Nutrition is a process by which organisms take in substances needed for energy, tissue growth and normal living functioning.
Human physiology is made for the consumption of diverse and mixed food of animal, plant and mineral origin (carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, water, minerals) .
Until the rise of chemistry in the 19th century, all substances taken up into the body via food or medicines were of natural origin. Until then plants had a crucial influence on human life, development, health maintenance and immunity.
With advances in chemistry, it became possible to produce chemical versions of many medicinal substances contained in plants (e.g. salicylic acid) with a view to satysfying human needs. Since the emergence of chemically prodαced drugs, physicians have tended to apply the products of traditional herbal medicine to a lesser and lesser degree. The result is that many herbal drugs are nowadays replaced by synthetic drugs .
At the same time, chemical industry has intervened into the natural food production cycles. It has succeeded in making chemical agents designed to increase the yield of all plants important for human nutrition. Chemical industry has likewise succeeded in making dietary supplements designed to enhance the flavour, aroma or even the very appearance of food.
This situation still prevails in the production of pharmaceuticals, food and dietary supplements.
Gradually, however, it has been found that some of the chemically produced substances or substances from chemically treated products taken up into the body via food or as medicaments contain certain enzymes which the endogenous enzymes do not biochemically recognize, fail to metabolize with, or even reject. The consequences of such an unnatural state of metabolism are manifested as weakened body functions and immunity, as various diseases, including new and increasingly serious ones that pharmacochemical medicine alone will not be able to deal with. Dr. Schneiner, a physician from Munich, excellently describes the status of public health and immunity resulting from aberrant metabolism due to chemical influences on plants, food and medicines, when writing about the situation in Germany as it was in the 1990s: "Health statistics 1988 by type of disease provided by the AOK Research Institute of Bad Godesberg show that the morbidity continues to rise. (....). The AOK statistics by type of disease compared with those of 1980 lead to the following conclusion: A significant increase in all sectors can be established. Thus the psychiatric disorder have risen by 50%, diseases of the nervous system and sense organs by 70%, diseases of skeletal, muscular and connective tissue by as much as 90%, tumours by 30%, vascular diseases by 35%. At the same time, never in the history of Germany have so many medical services been requested and provided per capita and per annum. Over a year German physicians prescribe 500 million recipes, which, if piled one above the other, would make a tower 200 times taller than the Cologne Cathedral!
Medicine is faced with a crisis. With all its successes in fighting acute diseases, what it can offer to most patients is alleviation, not cure. Millions of physicians honestly endeavour to save people from the clutches of diseases. In industrial countries money and doctors' dedication is hardly an issue when it comes to helping people in thousands of hospitals. On the other hand, one shouldn't overlook the fact that the potentials of the classical academic medicine are limited. Statistics are clear. In spite of massive investments, morbidity continues to rise. Cardiovascular diseases, rheumatism, allergies, tumours and many other diseases are still relentlessly in the lead". Internet: /Quoted from Mattthias Kamp: "Bruno Groening - Revolution in Medicine"
In considering prior art, a question, a technical problem arises, one which I put forward 25 years ago: is it possible to find a herbal mixture and a herbal preparation from it, or more herbal mixtures with the same base of contained herbal enzymes, the utilization of which would improve metabolism and thereby alleviate discomfort and pain, boost immunity and help in the cure of various diseases.
If in reviewing prior art only the agents of plant origin for boosting immunity and preserving health are considered, it should be reminded that medicinal herbs are still largely used as teas, although it is common knowledge that many herbal compounds change or lose their properties when heated. Herbal preparations used in the form of capsules or tablets mainly contain the active substance obtained from just one herb, which makes them less useful than they would be if made from more herbs .
Furthermore, considering the need for frequent intake of medicinal substances, herbal medicinal substances may be used as ingredients of a much greater number of confectionery, food and other products.
With a view to helping people, physicians and experts in herbal medicine are again investigating once used medicinal herbs, trying to obtain from them active substances good for immunity boosting and human health improvement due to metabolic activation.
Detailed description of the Invention
Over many years of independent research and application I have discovered and checked the efficiency of a herbal mixture of ash, milfoil and balm and of active substances obtained therefrom, as well as the efficiency of other mixtures containing ash, milfoil and balm, which, with their combined action in the whole body and in its particular tissues and states, are protected by this patent registration. Appropriate application methods have been laid down and described herein.
The present Invention will expand the state-of-the-art in the area, the existing assortment of herbal dietary supplements, adjuvant therapeutic agents, etc., and thereby enable people to use more herbal preparations aimed at prevention by way of boosting immunity as a basic natural barrier to health disorders and diseases of varying degree, such as rheumatism, cold, influenza, rhinitis, melancholy, as well as new diseases like Parkinson's disease, the occurrence of which is contributed to by metabolic disorders.
This Invention defines the basic herbal mixture and herbal mixtures of reinforced or special properties that can help in the treatment of many present-day diseases, because their active substances contain herbal enzymes, which as natural products actively participate in metabolism and thus strengthen immunity and health.
The methods of obtaining the active substance, the way of using it and partly its application have been defined.
Its efficacy has been proved through independent application and will be easy to confirm. As the substance is completely natural, testing its application does not require any significant funding, because there are associations of needy persons interested in getting help from herbal medicine. Moreover, application is rapidly manifested in improved immunity, successful elimination of health complaints and even as adjuvant therapy. Last but not least, no adverse effects and no addiction is caused, as investigators will find out very soon.
The initial herbal mixture, from which active substances are extracted, consists of medicinal herbs which have asserted themselves in individual application over centuries with their diverse wholesome effects on health improvement. We have not found though that they were ever used together within the same mixture.
The application of milfoil, ash and balm individually and in mixtures, their effect on improved metabolism and health, their synergic effect in conjunction with herbs in other mixtures, that's what makes the uniqueness of the Invention.
The active substance obtained from the initial and other identified herbal mixtures induce the body to rid itself of harmful substances and to more purposefully absorb substances needed for the growth, life and functioning of cells, tissues, organs and the organism as a whole.
The herbal mixture, according to patent claim 1, consists of the parts of ash - Fraxinus excelsior L., Fraxinus ornus L., and milfoil - Achillea millefolium L. (any type of milfoil and any type of ash) and balm {Melissa officinalis L. ) .
Apart from the mentioned herbs, herbal mixtures according to other patent claims contain herbs which synergically reinforce the effect of herbal enzymes in certain tissues and organs.
The active substance of each herbal mixture according to patent claims is in the form of powder and as such ready for capsulization and use in capsules, as well as its production and use in tablets and the process of obtaining other products and their use according to patent claims.
The active substance is prepared for capsulization and use in capsules, as well as for the use in tablets or contained in various other products.
The active substance can be used in 0.20 to 0.30 g capsules or in tablets of appropriate mass taken thrice, twice or once a day at the rate of one, two or three capsules or tablets at a time at regular intervals one hour after meals.
Prophylactically, the active substance can also be used in smaller daily quantities. For prophylactic purposes there are other suitable ways of using the active substance in products such as sweets, chocolate and beverages.
Through application we have found that accomplishments in terms of improved immunity and health in the treatment of all health troubles, conditions and diseases can be reliably attributed to the substance obtained from herbal mixtures identified in this patent application.
Over many years of the author's experience it has been found that 0.2 to 1.2 g of active substance a day boosts immunity and helps alleviate discomforts and diseases with concurrent powerful synergistic effect with food and medication.
It has also been found that it is possible to maintain immunity on a permanent basis by using 0.2 g to I g active substance a week, taken once or seven times a week without any detected adverse effects. Having found that, we have realized that the active substance may as well be used in sweets, chocolate, chewing gum, beverages, etc. It is 15 years now that I have been monitoring the efficacy of the invented active substance on my volunteering friends suffering from flu, indigestion, rheumatism, respiratory problems, headache, backache, and other health complaints. They were all using the active substance in 0.2 g to 0.25 g capsules. Typical quantity administered was 3 x 1 capsule swallowed one hour after meals with plenty of liquid. At first the reasons for taking it were peptic ulcer, pains in the stomach and intestines, constipation, flatulence, bronchitis, followed by headache, migraine, rheumatism, gout.
The herbal mixture, according to patent claim 1, makes a base by which other more complex herbal mixtures have been obtained by adding to the initial herbal mixture medicinal components of herbs showing a stronger , effect in specific tissues and organs. Thus several herbal mixtures and active substances have been found which share the same basic properties, but each of which has a marked effect on specific organs and in specific metabolic conditions.
An even better targeted synergistic metabolic effect will be achieved in certain tissues and organs if the active substance powders of other herbs are added to the mixture according to patent claim 1, as notably manifested in the elimination of pains and discomforts characteristic of certain tissues and organs, as well as an improvement in other associated tissues. Gradually, the overall result will be an improved condition of the whole body, accompanied by boosted immunity.
The medicinal components of the substance, when absorbed in the mouth, stomach or intestines, reach by way of blood and lymph all the organs of the body and biochemically coact with the products and byproducts of endocrine glands and the enzymes of some tissues and cells.
Example: In the case of Parkinson's disease the substance, according to patent claim 1, acts on the control mechanism of acetylcholine neurotransmitters and the recovery of physiological structures where the synthesis of enzymes takes place.
In the course of application I have arrived at the conclusion that the components of the substance according to patent claim 2 also act faster on the recovery and revitalization of metabolic processes in neurons and synapses, i.e., on the synthesis and decomposition of acetylcholine neurotransmitters in the intersynaptic region.
It is hence justified to produce active substances from the mixture according to patent claim 2 as well. In using the active substance the users themselves report its beneficial effects, which are then confirmed through clinical observation and laboratory practice before, during and after the use of the active substance.
No component of the active substance obtained from a herbal mixture by the described method and contained and used in the stated proportion acts harmfully. On the contrary, distributed by lymph, it has a beneficial effect on the life of cells in all tissues, on the whole metabolism and the preservation of the metabolic specificities of individual organs and tissues, as manifested in the improvement of their specific functions.
Experience acquired in the application of active substances obtained from these herbal mixtures confirms that products obtained according to the present Invention will help people to more easily solve a series of their health problems. It will expand the state-of-the-art by truly efficacious herbal preparations and products with which metabolism will be optimized, immunity improved, generally, health condition upgraded by means of natural substances and in a natural way.
With application on volunteers we have confirmed the indisputable efficacy of the substances in the improvement and strengthening of health and autoimmune response to specific complaints or diseases, where the efficacy has always been confirmed by a personal experience of health improvement and, where feasible, by clinical findings.
Herbal mixtures and active substances obtained from them according to the claims in this patent application do not exist as dietary supplements or as medicinal herbal preparations or as medicaments. Neither are they contained in confectionery products or beverages .
The application of the substance through other products has arisen from a wish and need to take a small preventive daily quantity of the substance in capsules or contained in other products consumed on a daily basis.
The ways of using the active substance preparation:
Medicinal herbs were once just chewed (in absence of teapots!). Today, those who try to chew medicinal herbs give up with a wince, because herbal substances are mostly bitter or unsavoury. In order to make them acceptable to the preferences of modern man, the active substances of the identified herbal mixtures will find the best use in the form of capsules and tablets, as well as sweets, chocolate, chewing gums, etc., all prepared without much heating.
By occasionally using the active substance in the form of capsules, tablets, tea, chocolate, sweets, chewing gum, alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages we take it up into our system of digestion and metabolism, thus achieving body detoxification, health preservation and boosted immunity to various complaints and diseases .
We believe that in this herbal mixture all substances are both active and adjuvant. It would be inappropriate to argue that certain substances contained in the active substance are efficient just because we know a little more about them and their action mechanism, since in the metabolic processes also those less known or still unknown components contained in the obtained active substances may participate or have a synergically reinforced effect. What is very important is that neither traditional nor modern medicine describes any herb and any component of the active substance as poisonous, even if taken in much higher quantities than those we recommend in describing the ways of application.
The active substances of herbal mixtures according to the present patent claims are herbal probiotics which support the maintenance of the diverse physiological processes of natural enzymes needed to maintain the body's health. They help in the production of sufficient reserves of healing substances and enzymes which will uphold for a while the body's physiological status of improved immunity and thereby its ability to resist diseases .
The active substance of the herbal mixture has been independently applied in both the prevention and the treatment of a series of diseases. In all cases the user's health has improved. Positive effects have been achieved in dealing with indicated complaints and diseases.
No adverse side effects, addiction or undesired developments have been detected in any case of using the active substance obtained from the mixtures prepared according to the patent claims. Wishing to make the products in question accessible to the needy as soon as possible, a pharmacologist, after himself trying the herbal mixture in capsules, helped the author to assess the efficacy of the active substance according to patent claim 2.
The preparation was administered in capsules. After the pharmacologist personally used the herbal preparation according to patent claim 2, we started administering it to volunteers and filed the following report.

Being unable to make the study an officially confirmed clinical study, we have introduced a survey form to be completed by voluntary users. According to their signed statements given to the author, these volunteers will gladly co-operate with the Ministry of Science and the investigators of DZIV (State Institute for Intellectual Property) and with others, if needed.
APPLICATION IN THE TREATMENT OF PARKINSON'S DISEASE The nicest surprise and success in the application of subject herbal mixture we had in the case of a friend of ours (Z.J., 58), anxious as we were to suppress, if only slightly, the tremor from Parkinson's disease that had been tormenting him for four years.
In February 2005 he couldn't even raise a glass, so weak he was. He couldn't cut with the knife, he couldn't use the screwdriver. He couldn't stand on his right foot. He couldn't pull the sheet to cover himself. After 10 days of using the active substance of the herbal mixture his muscle tremor visibly calmed. At the same time, after 15 days of using the mixture, his doctor suspended the administration of an antiparkinsonism drug and a herbal preparation. After 11 months of using our herbal mixture according to patent claim 2, he was given a daily dose of 3x1 capsules concomitantly with the antiparkinsonism drug Sinemet CR. After the disappearance of tremor, the patient's physical (muscle) strength, especially handgrip, has increased. He can walk up to 8 km, he can work physically, he can again drive the car, etc., all things he was unable to do over four years earlier and up to one year ago. Now his tremor is not even noticed. Anxiety and depression are gone, self-confidence is restored. His doctor is delighted, although she attributes the results solely to the drugs he takes (some of which he has not taken for 11 months already) . Himself, however, credit for his recovery he gives to our Invention, the active substance of the herbal mixture and the herbal preparation obtained from it, the subject of our patent claims.
It should be borne in mind that there is no known case of stemmed disease progression such as happened with that man. Specifically, there is no such case where with the cessation of tremor the muscle power is restored and the degeneration and weakening of the neurophysiological mechanism of the acetylcholine neurotransmitter chain is halted. By using the preparation obtained from the herbal mixture, the gentleman in question has recuperated the physiological base of his neuromotoric complex of the acetylcholine neurotransmitter nervous path that Parkinson's disease was undermining for four years. As soon as he felt stronger, he stopped taking our preparation. His body has grown stronger and tremor no longer recurs as it did on two occasions when he ran short of our preparation. On these two occasions he lost track of the capsules containing our herbal preparation. Four or five days after ceasing to take the mixture of our herbal preparation and while continuing to take Sinemet CR, strong tremor returned, along with all the rest of accompanying troubles ...
In both cases, only three or four days after restarting to use our herbal preparation, the patient's tremor abated, his strength and self-confidence returned.
There is a video on it, as well as the patient's statement and his medical records, all of which can be enclosed.
COMPONENT HERBS
The herbal mixture according to patent claim 1 is made from the medicinal components of milfoil, ash, balm, whereas the herbal mixtures according to patent claims 2, 3, 4, 5, β and 7 are composed with additions of the medicinal components of: ground-ivy, garden sage, wild thyme, milk thistle, calamus, chicory, lousewort, fennel, lady's mantle, ginkgo, purple coneflower and yohimbe in specified mass ratios. In two herbal mixtures chicory and lousewort can be exchanged.
1. MILFOILfACHILLEA MILLEFOLIUM L.) Common name: milfoil
"Like most medicinal herbs, milfoil is increasingly pushed aside by the new methods of treatment with inorganic substances. However, modern biology has not only confirmed its old applications in traditional healing practices, it has also discovered some of its new medicinal values, to the effect that today this modest-looking plant, which can flourish even on dunghills, is actually a first-class medicinal herb", /quoted from R. WiIfort.
Owing to a wide range of its beneficial properties known from ancient times, milfoil is included in the mixture of patent claim 1 and thereby in all other mixtures. Milfoil substances combined with balm and ash substances synergically reinforce their impacts and thus directly and indirectly have a beneficial metabolic effect on all organs, which is manifested in improved body cleansing, improved metabolism and improved immunity to viruses and bacteria and to diseases resulting from an inert and weak metabolism.
Milfoil contains medicinal substances which by their direct biochemical action through metabolism contribute to the preservation of health. These substances also enhance the impact of other substances we take through food, from other plants, including plants whose components constitute the herbal mixtures presented in this patent application, and these are ash, balm, ground-ivy, garden sage, wild thyme, milk thistle, calamus, chicory, lousewort, fennel, lady's mantle, ginkgo, echinacea, noni and yohimbe.

FRAXINUS EXCELSIOR L. - Common ash
FRAXINUS ORNUS L. - Manna ash and other types of ash (European ash, white ash)
Common names: common ash, ash, ground ash
Preparation from ash or as supplement to other teas was used in traditional medicine to heal: bladder ailments, nervous disposition, kidney diseases, rheumatism, aching joints, fever, constipation, malaria, intestinal parasitic infections, peritonitis, various wounds and skin injuries, syphilis, scabies, tuberculosis, hypertension, oedema, snakebites, inflammations, and to control glucose in the blood, deal with excessive sweating, wash the face.
Today ash is a nearly forgotten medicinal herb, but in herbal medicine it is indispensable. A broad range of beneficial properties of substances contained in ash will return it, just as milfoil, amongst preparations for the recovery of metabolism and immunity, blood regeneration and cleansing, followed by preparations for healing nervous system diseases, liver and digestive system diseases, rheumatism, arthritis and other complaints . Owing to a wide range of its beneficial properties known from ancient times, ash is included in the mixture of patent claim 1 and thereby in all other mixtures . Ash substances combined with balm and milfoil substances synergically reinforce their impacts and thus directly and indirectly have a beneficial metabolic effect on all organs, as manifested in improved body cleansing, improved metabolism and improved immunity to viruses and bacteria and to diseases resulting from an inert and weak metabolism.
Ash contains medicinal substances which by their direct biochemical action through metabolism contribute to the preservation of health. These substances also enhance the impact of other substances we take through food, from other plants, including plants whose components constitute the herbal mixtures presented in this patent application, and these are milfoil, balm, ground-ivy, garden sage, wild thyme, milk thistle, calamus, chicory, lousewort, fennel, lady's mantle, ginkgo, echinacea, noni and yohimbe.
3. BALM {MELISSA OFFICINALIS L.) Common name: balm
Application within the Invention: Owing to a wide range of its beneficial properties known from ancient times, balm is included in the mixture of patent claim 1 and thereby in all other mixtures. Balm substances combined with ash and milfoil substances synergically reinforce their impacts and thus directly and indirectly have a beneficial metabolic effect on all organs, as manifested in improved body cleansing, improved metabolism and improved immunity to viruses and bacteria and to diseases resulting from an inert and weak metabolism.
Balm contains healing enzymes which by their direct biochemical action through metabolism contribute to the preservation of health. These substances also enhance the impact of other substances we take through food, from other plants, including plants whose components constitute the herbal mixtures presented in this patent application, and these are milfoil, ash, ground- ivy, garden sage, wild thyme, milk thistle, calamus, chicory, lousewort, fennel, lady's mantle, ginkgo, echinacea, noni and yohimbe .
4. GROUND-IVY (GLECHOMA HEDERACEA L.) Common name: ground-ivy
Application within the Invention: It is brought into the mixture owing to its efficacy in detoxifying lungs, liver, spleen and other organs, as well as owing to its choline substance having a beneficial effect on the metabolism of nerve cells and cells in other tissues of the human body.
5. GARDEN SAGE (SALVIA OFFICINALIS L.) Common name: garden sage
Application within the Invention: Garden sage is brought into the herbal mixture owing to a wide range of its properties, also recognized by modern medicine. We have been convinced of the correctness of the assertions handed down from traditional medicine that garden sage braces nerves against stroke, convulsions and epilepsy and has a healing effect on rheumatism and gout.
6. WILD THYME (THYMUS SERPYLLUM L.) Common name : wild thyme
Application within the Invention: Included in the Invention owing to its particularly beneficial impact on a number of organs and tissues, especially its synergistic coaction with milfoil and ash substances in the regions of respiratory, digestive and nervous systems.
7. MILK THISTLE (CARDUUS MARIANUS L.) Common name: milk thistle
Application within the Invention: The medicinal efficacy of milk thistle is fully expressed in combination with milfoil, calamus and ash, as manifested in improved functioning of the liver and its rapid recovery from various ailments. The same applies to the pancreas and the prostate, including beneficial effects on diabetes and optimization of the production of hepatic and pancreatic enzymes.
8. CALAMUS (ACORUS CALAMUS L.) Common names: sweet flag, calamus Application within the Invention: In the long tradition of the use of medicinal herbs calamus was recognized as a good sedative in situations of stress, persistent insomnia and nervous agitation, and also as an excellent memory refreshing agent, a stimulant of blood circulation as a prerequisite for good metabolism, immunity and health.
9. CHICORY (ROOT) CICHORIUM INTYBUS L.) Common name: chicory
Application within the Invention: Chicory is added to the mixture because it invigorates weakened metabolism, purifies and regenerates the blood, stimulates the liver and thereby other organs to function properly.
From Paracelsus to Kneipp all traditional healers have shared a view that chicory is a unique and highly valuable medicinal plant thanks to many substances contained in it, primarily various kinds of sugars as well as relatively significant quantities of inulin.
Chicory is an excellent herbal remedy for liver complaints, especially in cases of blockage, jaundice and spleen troubles. Chicory leaf and root stimulate bile secretion, gallstone removal, blood cleansing, mucus excretion, blood circulation, and raise low spirits.
Chicory is used as a component of varius tea blends against pains, headaches, skin rashes, for revitalization of female reproductive organs, for hair growth.
10. LOUSEWORT (BETONICA OFFICINALIS L.) Common names: lousewort, bishopswort, wood betony
Application within the Invention: Lousewort was used against festering boils caused by enlarged veins and in menstrual disorders, uterine hemorrhage and other female complaints.
Lousewort was used to cure asthma caused by excessive mucus, gastric catarrh, jaundice, bladder and kidney ailments, as well as oedema. In olden times lousewort was much applied to persons inflicted by initial hysteria, mental disorders and epilepsy.
In our application lousewort has been used as a metabolically efficient agent for boosting immunity, improving the functioning of respiratory organs and blood circulation and to achieve a synergistic effect in dealing with rheumatism, gout and nervous system diseases. 11. WHITE WILLOW (SALIX ALBA L.) Common name: willow
Application within the Invention: Willow bark or leaf is added to our herbal mixture owing to its multiple, especially antirheumatic properties, capacity to detoxify the body and affect insomnia and nerve disposition.
Hypocrites and Pliny used willow bark as a remedy for fever. Willow bark as a standard remedy was valued highly by St. Hildegarde. For centuries in all known works on medicial herbs willow bark was praised for its multiple healing qualities. However, academic medicine removed it from the list of medicinal herbs once its components were chemically processed for production.
In the Invention it plays the role of corrector, stimulator and optimizer of metabolic processes in the cell.
12. YOHIMBE (CORINANTHE YOHIMBE L.) Common name : yohimbe
Application within the Invention: The bark of this tree contains yohimbine which stimulates blood circulation. It induces natural testosterone secretion, raises mood, prevents heart attack, helps metabolism and muscle building, raises muscle strength and potency, alleviates depression. At the same time, it stimulates muscle growth and tissue regeneration. In small quantities and in conjunction with ash, milfoil and calamus substances it acts as a good stimulant (and an aphrodisiac, too) , as well as relaxant and as metabolism and immunity modulator.
13. LADY'S MANTLE (ALCHEMILLA VULGARIS L.) Common name: Lady's mantle
Application within the Invention: Lady's mantle was used in medicine for centuries as a herb for the treatment of female complaints. Thus it treats leukorrhea, PMS-related abdominal discomfort, regulates menstruation, stimulates and facilitates delivery. In the form of bath it strengthens baby muscles, stops hemorrhage caused by internal and external injuries (also post-delivery hemorrhage) . Suitable for bath use with horsetail.
In traditional medicine it was also used for anemia, arteriosclerosis, rheumatism, gout and in cases of brain stroke. In combination with milfoil, ash and other herbs a preparation has been made which through metabolic action boosts immunity in women, and which successfuly copes with diseases such as viral infections, tissue malformations of the uterus, premenstrual troubles, headache, migraine. It can even help in the removal of HPV from the female reproductive organs.
14. FENNEL (FOENICULUM VULGARE MILL. L.) Common name : fennel
Medicinal properties:
Application within the Invention: Fennel root is counted among four medicinal roots serving for internal cleansing (the others being parsley, celery and asparagus) . It is an excellent remedy for stomach troubles and catarrh of the respiratory tract. Fennel oil externally applied in massage has an antirheumatic effect.
It is beneficial for whooping-cough and bronchial asthma. It was used in the treatment of pulmonary catarrh, stomach troubles, colon troubles. It is one of the oldest herbal drugs used in Chinese medicine. In combination with milfoil and ash, calamus and yohombe we have obtained a preparation which improves natural metabolism in the whole body.
15. GINKGO (GINKGO BILOBA L.) Common name: ginkgo
Application within the Invention: Our experience that the preparations which are subject to this patent registration alleviate tremor in patients suffering from Parkinson's disease through metabolic stabilization of the dopamine- acetylcholine balance is certainly encouraging in respect of anticipation that by adding ginkgo to the preparation a stable blood circulation and metabolism will be achieved in the brain structures responsible for the development and progression of Alzheimer's disease, as well as some diseases affecting children and adolescents. Ginkgo acts as an antioxidant, increases oxygen and glucose absorption. It has a vasodilatory effect on all blood vessels, venous and arterial alike. It helps against dizziness, tinnitus, headache and depression. Gingko dilutes blood and thus improves blood supply to all tissues in elderly persons. Also used as an aphrodisiac. Helps suppress neuralgias and neuropathies. Recently references have been made to its efficacy in delaying the progress of multiple sclerosis.
16. PURPLE CONEFLOWER (ECHINACEA PURPUREA, ECHINACEA
ANGUSTIFOLIA L.) Common name: purple coneflower
Application within the Invention: The impact of echinacea is manifold. It acts as an antiseptic and anti-inflammant, boosts immunity to viruses, bacteria, fungi.
Experts have proved that echinacea active substances increase the number of lymphocytes and macrophages, our principal defence cells. At the same time, they induce interferon production. Generally, echinachea substances provide a powerful support to the defence potentials of organs. Echinacea active substances are highly valued in the prevention of the infections and ailments of the upper respiratory tract, as well as other infections. Echinacea is already present in immunity strengthening preparations.
Since echinacea is a plant with most tested and proven immunomodulatory properties, it is rightly included in the herbal mixture with ash, milfoil, noni and ginkgo owing to its synergistic effect in generating a rapid and long-term autoimmune response.
