Abstract

The invention relates to a method for reproducing an audiovisual document while inserting preferably advertising content into it, wherein insertion takes place on the reproduction apparatus. This apparatus receives content and stores them, as well as audiovisual documents. The apparatus also receives insertion messages including at least one identifier of the stored content and an identifier of the received audiovisual document. The insertion message also specifies the area and time of insertion. Thus, the apparatus replaces a given portion of the image of the audiovisual document with content stored in the apparatus, with replacement occurring during a given duration when reproducing the received document. The invention also relates to an insertion message transmitter for starting the insertion of content into a document on the reproduction apparatus, and a receiving apparatus enabling such insertions.
