Abstract

The invention relates to an aqueous suspension of a layered double hydroxide comprising an inorganic charge-balancing anion and an anionic suspending agent having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms, wherein the suspending agent is a salt, with the proviso that the charge-balancing anion is not solely carbonate.
