Abstract
L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés pour installer et mettre à jour des ensembles d'application sur une plate-forme d'application. Les systèmes et les procédés sont particulièrement utiles dans un service de base de données à la demande. Les ensembles d'application peuvent être téléchargés vers un répertoire par des utilisateurs de développement (développeurs) pour une installation par des utilisateurs abonnés (abonnés). En variante, un développeur peut envoyer des informations d'identification à un utilisateur s'abonnant pour permettre que l'utilisateur ait accès et installe cet ensemble d'application créé par le développeur. Les ensembles d'application peuvent aussi être mis à jour. Si un développeur change l'ensemble source d'origine, un abonné peut choisir dans son organisation le ou les changements faits par l'éditeur tout en préservant toutes les rangées de données que l'abonné avait créées depuis la première importation de l'ensemble. Un ou plusieurs drapeaux peuvent être établis dans la définition de l'ensemble pour déterminer si, et dans quelle mesure, des personnalisations d'un ensemble peuvent être faites et mises à jour par l'abonné et/ou le développeur. Un champ 'gérable' est fourni pour identifier si des personnalisations d'un objet particulier sont soumises à une mise à jour; si l'ensemble ou un objet de l'ensemble est marqué comme géré, un utilisateur peut personnaliser l'ensemble ou l'objet, et ces personnalisations ne seront pas modifiées lors d'une mise à jour de l'ensemble. Un champ 'contrôle' est fourni pour identifier si un objet peut être modifié par le développeur et/ou l'abonné. Un champ 'immuable' est fourni pour identifier si un objet peut ou ne peut pas être modifié par quiconque.
