Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for the automatic packaging of medicaments, wherein by means of a computer-controlled packaging machine, medicaments are taken according to a compilation specification from several simultaneously connected to the packaging machine drug containers containing each drug of a single variety, combined to packaged goods lo and enclosed with a packaging
- the invention relates to a packaging system for carrying out the method.
- US 2004/0182044 A1 discloses packaging machines which are used to automatically assemble and pack medicaments which are in the form of tablets, capsules or i5 powders in accordance with an assembly specification.
- Such machines are z. B. used in hospitals to put together for each individual patient, the drug to be taken by this in each case. The compilation takes place in accordance with the prescription of the patient treating the patient
- the known packaging machines produce a package for each patient.
- the drug to be taken by the patient of a packaging usually wrapped in the form of a welded film.
- On the slide is also an imprint with the
- the known packaging machines are designed to be connected simultaneously with a correspondingly large number of drug containers. Each drug container is intended for a single-variety medicine.
- Packaging machines are known which are designed for more than 500 drug containers.
- the drugs eg. As individual tablets, ejected from the corresponding drug containers. The ejected tablets then fall into a funnel, from where they enter a filling unit, by means of which the tablets are filled into foil sachets.
- Due to the large number of drug containers conventional packaging machines are inevitably designed so that the drug ejected from the drug containers must travel very long distances through the machine until they pass through the filling unit in the foil sachets.
- the drugs are conveyed in the conventional packaging machines by gravity from the drug containers to the filling unit.
- the pharmaceuticals have to cover large drop heights, since the drug containers are arranged in a space-saving manner in the automatic packaging machine on several levels one above the other.
- the conventional packaging machines disadvantageously result in a high degree of abrasion of the processed medicaments. This abrasion causes significant contamination of the machine, so it must be cleaned daily to ensure proper operation. It is also common to observe that tablets break during the packaging process.
- a further disadvantage is that the known packaging machines, again due to the large number of drug containers, constructed very expensive and thus are expensive to manufacture and maintain.
- This object is achieved by the invention starting from a method of the type mentioned above in that the drug containers previously, i. before the actual blistering process, removed by means of a computer-controlled handling device of an automatic storage system in accordance with the compilation specification from a storage warehouse and connected to the packaging machine.
- the core idea of the invention is to combine a packaging machine with an automatic storage system.
- the computer-controlled handling device of the automatic storage system supplies the packaging machine with the drug containers with those drugs that are required according to the respective compilation specification.
- the drug containers are stored in the stock store of the automatic storage system.
- the stock can be easily sized large enough to accommodate a correspondingly large number of drug containers. The number of processed
- Pharmaceuticals are not limited by their individual construction and design, as in conventional packaging machines. Rather, according to the invention, the number of drug containers is determined only by the size of the stock. Another advantage of the method according to the invention is that the packaging machine can be designed for simultaneous connection with comparatively few drug containers. At the same time, only so many drug containers must be connected to the automatic packaging machine, as different drugs must be combined and packaged simultaneously according to an individual compilation specification. Most rarely, a regulation includes
- Medication of a patient more than 10 or 20 different medicines is sufficient if the packaging machine for simultaneous connection with up to 10 or 20 drug containers is designed. Due to the small number of drug containers, the distances to be traveled by the drugs during the packaging process are significantly shorter within the machine than in the previously known machines. Accordingly, abrasion and soiling by the processed drugs are significantly reduced. In addition, unwanted breakage of tablets during automatic packaging by the method according to the invention can be completely avoided.
- a useful embodiment of the method according to the invention provides that, according to the compilation specification, unnecessary drug lo containers are separated from the automatic packaging machine by means of the handling device of the storage system and deposited at an intermediate storage location or at a storage location of the storage bin.
- the computer control which is used in the method according to the invention recognizes which of the drug containers which are connected to the packaging machine are not required in accordance with the composition specification of the packaging order to be processed next.
- these unnecessary drug containers are separated from the packaging machine and then either deposited at an intermediate storage or at a storage location of the storage
- the storage at an intermediate storage point is useful to ensure short distances of the handling device and thereby save time, especially the drug container of frequently requested drugs can be stored with advantage at the intermediate storage.
- a useful further development of the method according to the invention provides that the drug containers have a machine-readable identification, the drug containers being recognized on the basis of their identification by means of a corresponding reading device of the automatic packaging machine.
- the labeling of the drug container indicates which drug is in it.
- the reading device of the automatic packaging machine can be determined whether each of the correct drug container was supplied to the packaging machine of the automatic storage system.
- Come as a machine-readable label usual barcodes or transponders, for example in the form of known RFI D-Tags in question.
- a conventional and commercially available storage system which is used for storage of medicaments in pharmacies, can be used in combination with a packaging machine for assembling and packaging of individual medicaments by the inventive method.
- the inventive method is carried out so that in addition to the drug containers packaged drugs are stored by means of the storage system, the drugs are identified during storage process by means of an identification device and then stored by means of the computer-controlled handling device to a storage location of the storage store, and wherein the drug
- the storage system used in the method according to the invention thus fulfills a dual function. Namely, the drug container which is to be connected to the automatic packaging machine is stored in the storage warehouse of the storage system. On the other hand, individual medicament packs are stored in the storage warehouse, which can be individually stored and retrieved by means of the computer-controlled handling device 5, preferably according to the system of free storage space allocation in order to optimally utilize the storage space available in the storage warehouse. If a user of the storage system requests a drug of a certain variety, the computer of the storage system determines the storage location of the lo drug desired and controls the handling device, so that this removes the outsourced drug package from the storage and transported out of the storage system.
- the computer of the storage system After the removal of the drug, the computer of the storage system automatically logs the paging operation. At the same time, the released i5 storage location for subsequent drugs to be stored in the memory of the computer is noted as free.
- the medicines are stored in the warehouse only after the space available in each case in the camp. Further classification criteria, for example according to the type of medicinal product, are not taken into account. Compared to conventional, hand-guided
- the drug containers are weighed before and / or after a packaging operation in order to check, based on the weight of the 5 drug containers, whether the medicaments have been compiled correctly in accordance with the compilation specification.
- a weighing device connected to the computer is expediently provided for determining the weight of the drug container. It is readily possible to deposit in the computer that is used to control the o automatic packaging and also to control the automatic storage system, the weight of each contained in the drug containers individual medicines. By comparing the weight of each drug container before and after a packaging operation, it can be determined whether the drugs are correspondingly taken from the drug container and packed in the correct number. If it is determined by the weight that the packaging process has not been carried out correctly, a corresponding warning signal is generated, the produced package discarded and the packaging process repeated.
- the object underlying the invention is also achieved by a packaging system for the automatic packaging of drugs, with a computer that is connected to a computer-controlled packaging machine, the drug according to a compilation specification of several simultaneously connected to the packaging machine drug containers, each drug of a single variety contains, removes, packaged to Packgut and encloses with a packaging.
