Abstract
金属触媒が担持されたカーボンの一次凝集体の内部の細孔(一次孔)の内壁にイオン導電性高分子材料(アイオノマー)が略均一に被覆されたガス拡散層及び/又は触媒層とすることにより、アノード触媒層で生じた水素イオンを効率よく電解質膜まで導電させることができる。また、カソード触媒層に水素イオンを効率よく到達させ、カソード電極における反応物や生成物である酸素および水の物質拡散速度の低下を抑制し、金属触媒の利用率の向上を図ることができる。
