Abstract

Apparatus (5) to treat footwear near the end of the relative production process, comprising a supporting structure (6), transporting means (9) supported by said supporting structure for transporting said footwear from a loading station (10) to an unloading station (11), a refrigerating unit (15) placed alongside said transporting means and supported by said structure to carry said footwear in a refrigerated condition and a heating unit (19) placed downstream of said refrigerating unit along said transporting means and supported by said structure to carry said footwear from said refrigerated condition to a heated condition at a temperature at least higher than that of the natural environment. This solution allows solving problems found in the prior art, as it allows drying the condensation that appears on said footwear and said transporting means when passing from said refrigerating unit to said natural environment. In conclusion, the invention also refers to a method performed by the mentioned apparatus.
