Abstract

The invention relates to an improved design of three-pin electrical plugs (1) . In one embodiment of the plug according to the present invention, one of the pins of the plug is a moveable pin (5) which is attached to the body (2) of the plug via a connecting member. This moveable pin is moveable between an operating position and a storage position. In the operating position, the plug can be inserted into a standard three-pin socket (such as one in accordance with BS 1363) . When the moveable pin is moved from the operating position to the storage position, an overall dimension of the plug is reduced. This means that the plug of the present invention can be more conveniently stored than a conventional three-pin plug.
