Tanning installations in the sense of the present invention are tanning installations in the wellness sector, in particular tanning beds and sundecks. Furthermore, tanning systems in hospitals and nursing homes can be set up to ensure the vitamin D intake of patients and residents. For such rooms a wheelchair-accessible construction is appropriate. These rooms can be equipped with wall and ceiling arrangements with the components according to the invention. For hospitals and retirement homes and mobile racks are suitable, which can be driven over patient beds, wherein the units of the invention are attached to the frame. The tanning system is therefore executable for hospitals or nursing homes in inpatient rooms as well as mobile as a frame. Tanning systems in the sense of the present invention have at least one combination of a UV module and a reflector reflecting the exit radiation of the UV module. They can have a plurality of reflectors, UV modules and filters, in particular each for a beam path. The modules are arranged so that they are inaccessible to the user of the tanning system. According to the invention ceiling structures or barriers are used as shock protection.
Particularly suitable modules have double-capped UV lamps and therefore channel-shaped reflectors. With this arrangement, the radiation emitted by the radiator is projected homogeneously onto a field, which can be adjusted particularly easily by the reflector spaced from the module to form a homogeneous field with the desired width. UV modules according to the invention are operated with UV lamps whose electrical power is at least 0.5 KW, in particular at least 1 KW and preferably at least 2 KW. The UV lamps are as slim as possible. Thus, in addition to narrow modules, homogeneous radiation fields can be generated with the module in a simple manner. A combination with other UV irradiation solutions for tanning or medical applications known in the art can also be combined with the advantages of the present invention, for example, by aligning the technique of the present invention only with irradiation of specific parts of the body.
The UV module according to the invention comprises at least one UV radiator and a reflector, so that it emits UV radiation on one side of the module. In this case, the UV radiation from the module is more homogeneous, in particular directed than that of the UV lamp. The module can be covered with a filter disc. For this purpose, filter disks made of glasses, in particular low-quality glasses which filter out UVB and in particular UVC or are impermeable to radiation from this spectrum are suitable. The UV module is directed with its opening on one or more reflectors. Suitable are metallic reflectors, such as aluminum reflectors. Alternatively, it is advisable to use semitransparent glass reflectors. In the beam path between the modules and the reflectors it requires except possibly a module covering the filter disc or semitransparent reflectors no further solid.
In the beam path between the module and the surface to be irradiated, there is a UV filter or a UV converter, preferably on the UV module or the reflector spaced therefrom. Of the UV filter on the reflector spaced from the module can serve as mechanical protection at the same time.
The UV converter is preferably a phosphor, z. As a fluorescent or a phosphorescent layer that absorbs radiation having wavelengths below 300 nm, in particular UV-C radiation and radiation greater than 300 nm, in particular emitted UV-A radiation. Optionally, the UV converter also absorbs UV-B radiation to emit UV-A radiation.
Sunbeds according to the invention are particularly suitable for use in tanning salons or wellness facilities, such. As baths and saunas, swimming pools or hotels.

As shown in Figure 2, the radiator will be received longitudinally inside the reflector (5). The homogeneously radiating UV light is now directed through the filter (3) and subsequently by means of the further reflector systems (9) onto the body (1) to be irradiated. These other reflector systems (9), consisting of metal or glass are UV-reflective and such arranged to project the UV light emerging from the filter disc (3) uniformly over a large area onto the body to be irradiated.
As shown in Figure 3, the other reflector systems (9), consisting of a UV-transparent material, have a coating that reflects only some of the UV radiation. The remaining UV radiation is then filtered or reflected by the next reflector system in the same way. The last reflector system, in turn, can be made of metal or glass, with a very high reflection property against UV light.
According to Figure 4, the filter (3) is not mounted directly in front of the reflector (5), but in front of the outlet opening of the housing (8) for receiving the other reflector systems (9). Furthermore, these filters (3) are afflicted with a phosphorescent layer (comparable to a UV phosphor of UV-emitting fluorescent tubes). The further reflector systems (9) are arranged such that the UV radiation from the radiation source (4) is uniformly directed onto the coated filter disc (3).
In Figure 5, the right and left versions differ so that the other reflector systems (9) show different constructions. In both cases, the UV radiation is directed indirectly through a reflector (5) and a further reflector system (9) through the UV filtering filter disc (3) to the body (1) to be irradiated.
All versions are characterized by a very low height. Furthermore, uncontrolled direct radiation from the light source can be avoided. All systems can be used behind an acrylic disc and thus protected from contact with the body to be irradiated.
According to Figure 6, the inventive tanning unit will be used independently as a "building set." It is self-contained and can accommodate all the necessary components necessary for operation.
For example, tanning beds can be constructed in an open design as shown in Figure 9 or as a sun sky as shown in Figure 10 above a lawn.
It is also possible to use it in a shower with wall or ceiling mounting as shown in Figure 7. This wall and / or ceiling mounting is also very convenient and easy to clean, since no direct contact with the object to be sunbathed necessary is, which in turn allows the use in nursing homes or hospitals. It should be emphasized in particular that, especially in frail people, the sometimes poor health situation due to a lower exposure to the sun under the open sky can be counteracted with this inventive tanning device.
Figure 8 shows another inventive UV module as a mobile unit that allows for tanning of stationary persons.
The very low height compared to existing systems of the embodiments of the invention allows an application under plaster. Furthermore, uncontrolled direct radiation from the light source can be avoided. All systems can be used behind an acrylic disc and thus protected against contact by the body to be irradiated.
It can UV lamps from 500 W to well over 1000 W are used, which are both unilaterally as well as both sides capped, with a two-sided socket with respect to the stabilization is cheaper. The UV filter can be kept geometrically very small (size of the exit opening of the first reflector).
