Abstract

The invention relates to an immunogenic construct comprising a backbone from the transmembrane envelope protein of a gammaretrovirus and two domains E1 and E2 of HIV1 preferred derived from gp41 of HIV (HIV-1 , all clades and combination of them, but E1 and E2 were always derived from the same clade) whereas a spacer sequence of the gammaretrovirus in E2 links the HIV epitope sequences of E2, for the induction of neutralizing antibodies in humans (prophylactic immunization). Using these constructs monoclonal or polyclonal antibodies may be generated for use in therapeutic treatment of AIDS.
