Abstract

The invention concerns a method for managing rights of at least one protected digital content (C1) read by at least one terminal (T). The method includes the following steps: receiving a request for acquiring (40) at least one license (L) for the digital content (C1), sent by said terminal (T) to a digital rights management system; identifying (42) the terminal (T) and a family (F) to which it belongs; managing (43) the rights granted to the family (F) for the digital content (C1); generating (44), via the system at least one license (L) representing the rights granted to the terminal (T) for the digital content (C1); and sending (45) the license via the system to the terminal (T).
