Abstract

Cette invention concerne un instrument permettant de réduire complètement, de réparer et de régénérer par génie tissulaire des défectuosités ou des difformités osseuses dues à des fractures, en particulier à des fractures situées dans des zones relativement inaccessibles du corps humain ou du squelette. L'instrument est peu effractif, permet de créer un passage unique avec une multitude de canaux possibles pour une multitude d'applications potentielles, telles que notamment, mais pas uniquement: extraction de débris, correction précise et maîtrisée de défauts de translation, de rotation et d'angularité d'un os, repositionnement et détassement précis et maîtrisé de fragments osseux, renforcement structural à l'intérieur du site de la fracture par la mise en place de divers micro-implants et apport de divers matériaux et constructions issus du génie tissulaire et destinés à faciliter la régénération de tissu osseux vivant sur le site de la fracture. L'instrument est en mesure de stocker les divers matériaux d'apport et d'en contrôleur l'emplacement, la quantité, la forme, le volume, l'alignement, l'orientation et la pression interne au moment de leur dépose sur le site de la fracture. De plus, cet instrument peut être adapté en vue de son utilisation avec diverses techniques de visualisation, de chirurgie assistée par ordinateur et de navigation.
