  • the second exception or difference between the baseboard panel 112' and each one of the wall panels 112 resides in the fact that the lower edge portion 120' of the front section 113' of the baseboard panel 112' extends substantially or further beneath the lower edge portions 136', 152' of the rear and intermediate sections 126', 128' of the baseboard panel 112' than does the lower edge portion 120 of the front section 113 of the wall panel 112 with respect to the lower edge portions 136,152 of the rear and intermediate sections 126, 128 of the wall panel 112, for a purpose which will be more fully explained hereinafter.

It is further noted that when installing the baseboard panel 112', the objective is to ensure that the lower edge portion 120' of the front section 113' of the baseboard panel 112' rests firmly upon the floor 176 even if the floor 176 is slightly sloped or not truly horizontal.

It is to be appreciated that in view of the increased thickness dimension of the particular wall panel 112-P, the front section 124 will effectively project out a predetermined amount equal to one-half of the difference between the thickness of such wall panel 112-P and the thickness of the remaining wall panels 112.
  • a new and improved universal corner component 186 is utilized so as to effectively interconnect together the end wall panels 112 of one particular wall member 116 with the end wall panels 112 of an adjacent, intersecting wall member 116. It is to be emphasized that the same corner component 186 is used at both the interior and exterior corner locations except for the fact that the orientation of the corner component 186 is effectively reversed.

Abstract

Système novateur et amélioré de montage de panneau mural universel, et procédé permettant d’installer de façon amovible des panneaux muraux pour constituer un élément de paroi verticale que l’on fixe à demeure sur une paroi support fixe. La pluralité de panneaux muraux sont adaptés pour être disposés selon un arrangement de type réseau comprenant une pluralité de colonnes orientées verticalement ou longitudinalement et une pluralité de rangées orientées transversalement ou horizontalement. Une pluralité d’extrusions ou d’éléments de rails orientés transversalement ou horizontalement, à coupe transversale sensiblement en forme de L avec des lèvres faisant saillie vers le haut et vers le bas disposées sur les portions d’extrémité libres orientées horizontalement de ceux-ci, sont montés de manière réglable en des points espacés verticalement, prédéterminés, sur la paroi support fixe, de sorte que les lèvres faisant saillie vers le haut et vers le bas peuvent s’engager respectivement dans des régions rainurées inférieures et supérieures des panneaux muraux pour ainsi fixer à demeure les panneaux muraux sur la paroi support fixe, l'ensemble définissant ainsi l’élément de paroi complet.
