Allerdings ist das in der Natur vorkommende Schmelzwasser des Gletschers kaum als Nahrungsmittelzusatz geeignet, indem einerseits das Gestein nicht überall ideal ist, zudem die Gefahr besteht, dass Fremdstoffe aufgenommen werden und zudem die Korngrössenverteilung ungünstig ist. Beim erfindungsgemäss vorgeschlagenen Nahrungsmittelzusatz handelt es sich um ein neues Konzept der Nahrungsergänzung.
