Abstract
A process of recovery of Pt/C catalyst from the hydrogenation of 6,9-Imino ether is carried out by isolating spent Pt/C by filtration, reactivating the wet spent Pt/C catalyst by treating the spent Pt/C with strong acid like perchloric acid and recycling the reactivated catalyst along with fresh catalyst in the weight ratio of 98:2 in next cycle of hydrogenation of 6,9-Imino ether. The regenerated catalyst and its use in the hydrogenation of 6,9-Imino ether for atleast ten cycles are also disclosed herein.
