Abstract

Disclosed are compositions and methods for a non-catalytic fragment of Bacillus anthracis edema factor. In particular, this invention provides a peptide or nucleic acid coding for a peptide comprising a non-catalytic fragment of edema factor. This invention further provides methods for using this fragment as an anthrax antigen to elicit an immune response effective in treating or preventing anthrax infection.
