Definitions

  • the invention relates to a powder spray bottle with a cavity defining container for receiving powder or the like and having a discharge opening through which a volume of powder and cavity in the cavity cavity can be pressed out of the cavity with volume reduction of the cavity.

  • the container 2 In order to allow a mixture of air 7 and powder 5 in the form of a spray to pass through the discharge opening 19, the container 2 is pressed against the elastically shaped side wall 9, which is preferably made of plastic. This results in a change in volume of the cavity 4. There is an overpressure in the cavity 4, whereby air is forced through the air inlet 14 into the channel 10 (see arrow 22). The air forced out of the cavity 4 is now guided along the channel 10 (see arrow 23) and impinges on the powder cones 18a, 18b. Due to the kinetic energy of the air flow in the channel 10, the powder cones 18a, 18b are entrained so that, viewed in the flow direction, a mixture of air and powder forms behind the powder feeds 17a, 17b.

  • the mixture 25 thereby exits vertically upward from the powder spray bottle 1.
