Abstract
L'invention concerne une méthode pour stimuler un objet ayant un muscle dénervé et un muscle fonctionnel correspondant, qui sont responsables de la production d'actions, comme cligner des yeux, sur des première et deuxième parties respectives du corps du sujet. La méthode implique de déterminer si le muscle fonctionnel s'est contracté, de produire un signal de contraction s'il s'avère qu'il s'est contracté, et de provoquer la contraction du muscle dénervé suite à la génération du signal de contraction. En outre, l'invention concerne un appareil pour stimuler un tel sujet, comportant au moins un dispositif associé fonctionnellement au muscle fonctionnel et au moins un dispositif de stimulation associé fonctionnellement au muscle dénervé. Au moins l'un des dispositifs de détection produit au moins un premier signal en réponse à la contraction du muscle fonctionnel indiquant une activité. Les dispositifs de stimulation servent à faire se contracter le muscle dénervé en réponse à la génération des premiers signaux.
