Abstract

La présente invention concerne de nouveaux antigènes du Mycobacterium leprae à utiliser dans des procédés et des dispositifs destinés à détecter et diagnostiquer des infections induites par le M. leprae chez des individus, en particulier au premier stade de l'infection et dans les infections paucibacillaires, que les procédés de diagnostic classiques ne détectent pas. Les antigènes de l'invention sont spécifiques au M. leprae et le procédé de diagnostic permet d'éviter de 'faux résultats positifs' chez les sujets ayant une réponse immunitaire contre d'autres espèces mycobacteriennes, telles que le M. tuberculosis, le M. bovis, le M. paratuberculosis, le M. avium, le M. smegmatis, le M. ulcerans, le M. microtii et le M. marinum, ou les individus vaccinés par le BCG.
