Abstract

System for generating a geometrical model representing a portion of a three-dimensional object by shading by an operator in connection with a two-dimensional image of the object, the image representing the object as projected onto an image plane, comprising receiving shading information, updating a geometric model, displaying the updated geometric model, and operating on input of a hierarchical subdivision, polygon mesh, or NURBS surface.
