Description
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL JOINING ELEMENT
Technical Field
The invention is the multi-functional joining element capable of rotational movement, which enables to join the goods to each other and append various pieces to the goods, according to the preamble in claim 1.
Background Art
In the current practice, various types of joining elements are used for the purpose of joining the furniture items together.
One type of the currently used joining elements serves the purpose of joining the chairs to one another to dispose them according to a regular layout and alignment, at the collective activities such as the conferences and the seminars. However, the pieces of said joining element are connected to each other by means of coging joint. Said joining element allows the chairs to be connected to each other only along a linear path and does not permit the disposal and connection of the chairs side by side on a curved path that is non-linear.
Another type of the joining elements in use is secured to the side strap profile of the chair. This element also allows the chairs to be aligned only along a linear path.
None of said two elements allows locating the chairs according to a suitable direction to enable the users to enjoy an effective watching and listening. Moreover, the linear alignment prevents the area where the activity is being held from being used to the extent which is desirable.
Another connection method enabling to join the chairs to each other involves the use of the notch made on one of the side strap profiles of the chair and the projection formed on the side strap profile in the other direction. The notched strap profile section of each chair is mounted to the riveted strap profile section of the other chair and said type of assembly permits the alignment of the chairs along only a linear path. Inability for the user to turn towards the zone of activity with a
suitable angle reduces the watching and listening performance. Furthermore, the chairs are located in a closely contiguous manner according to said joining method; consequently the comfort for the user is reduced.
At the collective activities, the users need space to take notes and to put the drink container. The chairs currently used are far from satisfying this need.
According to the current joining mechanisms, there exists the necessity to lift each chair above one another so that it can be installed properly, in order for the joint between the chairs to be achieved.
The Object of the Invention
An object of the invention is to increase the user's watching and listening performance by enabling the alignment of the chairs according to any desired direction and angle for the collective activities, owing to the multi-functional joining element.
Another object of the invention is to provide an ergonomic use of the area for layout by enabling the alignment of the chairs according to any desired direction and angle for the collective activities, owing to the multi-functional joining element.
Another object of the invention is to eliminate the need to lift each chair above one another to attach the same, owing to the multi-functional joining element.
Another object of the invention is to eliminate the need for modification in order to provide the existing chairs with the features of joining and piece appending, owing to the multi-functional joining element.
Still another object of the invention is to provide the user comfort by locating and orienting the chairs with a suitable interval of use, owing to the multi-functional joining element.
Still another object of the invention is to enable appending to the goods the pieces suitable for the purpose of use, owing to the multi-functional joining element.
To achieve the said objectives, a multi-functional joining element is formed comprising a joining means. In this way, the positioning is achieved with a suitable distance between the users and a suitable orientation.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one holder surface is formed and fixed on at least one joining means, in order to provide connecting adaptation with said joining means. In this way, the joining means is connected to the surfaces.
According to another preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one screw housing element is realized and located on at least one joining means, in order to secure said joining means
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, there is included at least one cylinder housing means formed on the surface of at least one joining means, in order to provide connecting adaptation between the said joining means and the moving means In this way, the moving means is connected with the joining means.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one moving means is formed in connection with said joining means, in order to provide the capability of movement to said joining means.
According to another preferred embodiment of the invention, there is included a surface having a cylindrical form coupled to said moving means, in order to provide the rotation of at least one moving means. In this way, the joining means becomes capable of rotational movement
According to another preferred embodiment of the invention, there is included at least one adaptation means connected with said joining means, in order to provide connecting adaptation with said joining means. In this way, the connecting element may be connected to the surfaces having different geometry.

Detailed Description of the Invention
The joining piece (1) seen in Figure 1 is the first joining means used for the purpose of joining and appending pieces. Said joining piece (1) is connected with the piece to be joined or appended, by means of the holder surface (2). Fixing of
the joining piece (1) onto the surface where it is held is achieved using the screw housing (3) and the screw. The moving element housing (4) formed on the joining piece (1 ) is shaped such that it will allow the positioning and the movement of the moving element (5). In this manner, the chairs are allowed to be aligned along a curved line The joining piece (1 ) according to the invention may be installed to the chairs made of profile by means of tight external joint and secured using bolts. Also, the joining piece (1) bears the slots where the row and chair numbers may be adhered.
The moving means (5) shown in Figure 2 comprises the cylinder surface piece (6) such that its rotational movement will be allowed. Said cylinder surface piece (6) permits the movement of the mechanism, and consequently, it enables the furniture items joined together and the pieces appended to be positioned according to the suitable orientation.
The adaptation element (7) shown in Figure 3 provides the attachment on surfaces where the connection of the joining piece (1 ) may not be achieved.
Owing to the joining piece (1) seen in Figure 6a, it is possible to transform the ordinary tables to seminary tables used in the collective activities. With the help of the joining piece (1) attached to the table lower skeleton profile, it becomes possible to append additional pieces with desired size to the normally used tables with an open front face.
With the help of the joining piece (1 ) attached to the chair strap profile seen in Figure 6b, it is possible to fit writing surface (8) and tea/coffee cup tray (10) to the chairs. In this way, it becomes easy to take notes and place the tea/coffee cups during the collective activities. In addition, it is possible to fit arms (9) to the chairs to transform them into armchairs, with the help of the joining piece (1 ).
The invention may not be limited to the representative embodiment presented in this section. Alternative embodiments that may be realized by the persons skilled in the art based on the fundamental components under the protective scope as defined in the claims will mean the violation of the invention.
