Abstract

Générateur de lumière comportant un panneau (214) modulant la lumière et un dispositif (200) modifiant la polarisation. Le dispositif (200) modifiant la polarisation est conçu pour recevoir une lumière présentant un premier état de polarisation, tel qu’une polarisation S, et pour conférer à des composantes incrémentales de la lumière un deuxième état de polarisation, tel qu’une polarisation P, au moyen d’une pluralité de transmissions à travers le dispositif (200) modifiant la polarisation. Le dispositif (200) modifiant la polarisation transfère au panneau (24) modulant la lumière les composantes incrémentales de la lumière reçues dans le deuxième état de polarisation. Le panneau (214) modulant la lumière module les composantes incrémentales de la lumière reçues et transmet les composantes modulées à une lentille de projection (212) utilisée par exemple dans un projecteur, un téléviseur à projection ou un autre dispositif de projection d’images.
