Abstract
L'invention concerne un appareil pour faciliter la dilatation du ventricule gauche chez un patient en insuffisance cardiaque grave. La compression extra-cardiaque du ventricule gauche s'effectue par un simple appareil implantable qui consiste en des bras en métal (2) qui sont passivement fléchies au niveau de charnières à ressort (5) par une tasse métallique (1) se déplaçant verticalement. Les mouvements verticaux de la coupelle métallique sont obtenus par des moyens, tels qu'un mécanisme à pignon et crémaillère entraîné par un moteur ou un système à moteur à induction linéaire. Le moteur est commandé par un microcontrôleur (16) qui est externe au corps du patient et porté de préférence sur une ceinture avec un système externe de piles. L'appareil peut être synchronisé avec le cycle cardiaque du patient en utilisant un électrocardiogramme (11) à trois dérivations de surface standard, disponible dans le commerce. Les bras (2) sont connectées l'une à l'autre par une membrane hautement extensible en polymère élastique (3). La membrane en polymère contenant de la phosphoryle choline peut être utilisée comme véhicule de médicament ou d'autres agents à livrer localement directement sur le myocarde.
