Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système photoélectrochimique destiné à la génération d'hydrogène par le clivage d'un électrolyte, le système comprenant : un électrolyseur (24) destiné à contenir un électrolyte, ledit électrolyseur comprenant des première et seconde électrodes et étant configuré pour la collecte de l'hydrogène libéré au niveau d'une desdites électrodes lors du fonctionnement du système; un élément photosensible (22) séparé dudit électrolyte et comprenant des premier (32) et second (34) systèmes photosensibles connectés électriquement entre eux en série, lesdits premier et second systèmes photosensibles étant couplés électriquement auxdites première et seconde électrodes respectives. Ledit premier système photosensible est configuré pour absorber et être sensible à l'éclairage d'une première plage de longueurs d'onde et au moins sensiblement transparent au reste dudit éclairage, et ledit second système photosensible est configuré pour être sensible à l'éclairage d'une seconde plage de longueurs d'onde comprenant au moins une partie du reste transmis par ledit système.
