Abstract

Système de motorisation, notamment de véhicule automobile, comprenant un moteur thermique (1), un catalyseur (5) de réduction des oxydes d'azote NOx des gaz d'échappement du moteur (1), un injecteur additionnel (4) de carburant situé en amont du catalyseur (5) et un moyen (6, 3) de détermination de la quantité d'oxydes d' azote NOx issus du moteur (1). Il comprend un moyen (6, 10) de détermination de la quantité de carburant nécessaire pour atteindre une proportion inférieure ou sensiblement égale à la proportion stoechiométrique par rapport à la quantité d'oxydes d'azote NOx, et un moyen (6) de déclenchement de l'injection de ladite quantité nécessaire lorsque le rapport entre ladite quantité nécessaire sur la quantité d'oxydes d'azote NOx est inférieure à un seuil de déclenchement.
