Abstract

La présente invention concerne des produits contenant du silicium, tel que du silicium, du carbures de silicium et du nitrure de silicium contenant moins de 0,01 % en masse totale d'impuretés minérales et de rapports carbure sur silicium sélectivement déterminés. Ces produits sont dérivés de matière végétale, telle que des balles de riz et de la paille de riz, comprenant au moins 3 % de silice en masse. Cette invention concerne aussi des procédés de fabrication de ces produits contenant du silicium de haute pureté par le lavage des matières végétales contenant du silice avec de l'acide sulfurique aqueuse dans des conditions de température, de pression et de temps de réaction commandées, permettant de retirer les minéraux et les métaux tout en réduisant le rapport molaire de carbure sur silice fixé et, de traiter ensuite thermiquement dans des conditions commandées afin de produire le produit souhaité.
