Abstract

L’invention concerne des fibres PBO, ainsi que des feuilles et assemblages contenant des fibres PBO, présentant des propriétés améliorées après exposition à une humidité importante. Les fibres PBO sont encapsulées par des moyens anhydres dans un matériau de scellement ayant une perméabilité à la vapeur d’eau inférieure à 25 x 10-11 cm3 (stp) cm/(cm2 sec.Pa) mesurée par ASTM E 96-95 (Procédure E) à 37,8 °C. Dans le cas de feuilles contenant des fibres PBO, le matériau de scellement remplit en partie le volume entre les fibres.
