Abstract

A catching cage for crustaceous animals is described. It comprises at least two catching cornets (6) with outer entrance openings and inner exit openings, opening out into a central space where a bait container (13) is located. The catching cage is especially characterised in that the entrance openings are located in a thought cylindrical mantle (23).

Description

Catching cage for crustaceous animals
Technical field
The present invention relates to a catching cage for crustaceous animals comprising at least two catching cornets with outer entrance openings and inner exit openings, opening out into a central space where a bait container is located. State of the art
Catching cages for crayfish, lobster etc are known since a long time, and many types have been designed. In principle all catching cages are made fromi nets of steel, yarn or plastics, usually like tubes with an entrance opening at each end and a bait in the middle of the catching cage. One disadvantage inherent to these catching cages is, that the animals to catch try to get at the bait from all sides of the catching cage and only those, which find one of the openings at the ends can get in. This prevents efficient catching. Many catching cages cannot be shut up and thus demand large spade when stored as well when transported. There are catching cages with several openings around to facilitate the entrance of the crustaceous animals. These are in most cases cumbersome.
The invention
Therie is a demand for a simple, easy to handle catching cage of the art mentioned introductorily, that is stable yet easy to shut up.
Such a catching cage is primarily characterised, according to the invention, in that the entrance openings are located in a thought cylindrical mantle.
Firstly a rotation cylindrical mantle is considered, that is to say with a horizontal circular section, but also a cylindrical mantle with an elliptic horizontal section or a cylindrical mantle with a super elliptic horizontal section are possible within the scope of the invention.
Further features are obvious from the enclosed dependent claims. Disclosure
The catching cage according to the invention shall be described, in the following, reference being made to the enclosed figures, which show one embodiment of the invention. Here shows: figurte 1 in perspective a circle ring formed cover to a catching cage, figure 2 in perspective a catching cornet with a frame, figuife 3 in perspective a bait container to the catching cage, figure 4 in perspective four catching cornets with frames, put together, figure 5 a view to an object according to figure 4, partly in section, whereas figuife 6 shows, in perspective, a catching cage.
A catching cage for crustaceous animals shows, according to figure 1, a circle ring formed cover 1 with horizontal circular section. The cover 1 is foπried with an outer border 2 and an inner supporting portion 3. Between the outer border 2 and the inner supporting portion 3 there is integrated a grate net 4. Furthermore, in the border 2 of the cover 1, there are openings 5 arratiged such that flaps, provided at the frames of the catching cornets, lock' the cover to these.
In figure 2 is shown a catching cornet 6with an outer frame 7 and a wall 8. in the frame a net cornet 8 is integrated. The frames 7 of the catching cornets may be releasably coupled together by coupling elements, in this cases in the form of buttons 10, integrated in the frame, with cooperating holes 11. At the upper and lower side of the frame 7 there are flaps 12 where the cover 1 may be releasably wrought in firm position. The catching cornets may have different forms, in figure 2 there is shown one advantageous design, where the originally rotation symmetrical form has been somewhat flattened out to admit reasonable height of the catching cage, still with a good function.
Figiire 3 illustrates a bait container 13, comprising two cylinder halves 14,15 with square- shaped holes where the smell of the bait may expire. The two cylinder halves are pressed together and are locked by a spring lock 16. The bait container 15 has also lower spring locks 18 for fastening of it at the bottom of the catching cage. In order to prevent the bait container 13 ffom being pressed into the catching cage from below too far upwards there is a flange 19 integrated in the two cylinder halves 14.15. At the top of the bait container 13 there is a bait cover 20 inserted. A rope may be fastened into a recess 22 at the bait cover 20, opened and locked by a spring lock 21.
Figure 4 shows four catching cornets 6 with frames 7, put together by coupling elements in the form of buttons 10 with cooperating holes 11 to form a cylinder 23.
From figure 5 is learnt, that the bait container is provided at its lower portion with a weight 24.
The complete catching cage is shown in figure 6, with cover and bottom mounted. The bait container 13 protrudes somewhat above the cover 1. A rope 25 is fastened at the bait 13 container such that the complete catching cage may be lifted, as the bait container 13 is provided with a flange at the lower end.
