Abstract
The invention relates to underground coal layer gasification by in situ converting coal into a combustion gas and to the use said gas for varies power plants. The aim of said invention is to develop a multipurpose and practically performable method for controlling an UCG gas composition. The aim is attainable by the inventive method consisting in adding carbon dioxide (CO2) and water steam (H2O) a pumped nitrogen-oxygen blast (N2 + O2), thereby adjusting a CO/H2 ratio of the extractable combustion generator gas mixture within a wide range from 2:1 to 1:5. Said invention proves the feature of novelty of the inventive method for controlling the UCG gas composition.
