Abstract
The invention relates to a device for the removal of water from an aqueous solution in a vacuum vessel. According to the invention, said device comprises a Roots-type vacuum pump (2), connected on the inlet side to the gas chamber (4) above the solution in the vacuum vessel (1) and on the pressure side to a water outlet (8) via a condensation tube (7) immersed in the solution. The device is characterised by a low energy requirement on condensation of the removed water vapour.
