Abstract

The invention relates to tubular ingot molds for use in centrifugal casting for producing bodies from a metal multicomponent system including copper as one of the components. The invention also relates to centrifugal casting molds comprising said tubular ingot mold, to methods for producing bodies by centrifugal casting from a casting alloy consisting of a metal multicomponent system including copper as one of the components and to uses of a tubular ingot mold in a centrifugal casting mold for producing bodies from a casting alloy consisting of a metal multicomponent system including copper as one of the components. The invention allows to cast, close to final dimensions, bodies from a casting alloy consisting of a metal multicomponent system including copper as one of the components. The tubular ingot mold consists of a metal multicomponent system including copper. A layer from particles of a mold release agent from the group of the refractory materials is present on at least the surfaces representing the exterior surfaces of the body of the tubular ingot mold and the ejector retaining plate of the centrifugal casting mold. Said layer allows for easy removal of the body from the centrifugal casting mold.
