Abstract

La présente invention a trait à des raquettes de tennis ayant une forme principalement rectangulaire comportant un cadre et un agencement de cordes qui crée une raquette de tennis avec les avantages d'une raquette rectangulaire sans la structure et le poids d'une raquette purement rectangulaire. Un mode de réalisation comporte un cadre extérieur avec des portions globalement droites en haut et en bas du cadre extérieur. Des cordes latérales reliées à ces portions globalement droites sont globalement de la même longueur. Un élément latéral distal distinct du cadre fournit un composant de liaison pour le cordes longitudinales ayant globalement la même longueur. La raquette de tennis ayant une forme principalement rectangulaire avec un élément latéral distal distinct crée une zone d'impact qui est beaucoup plus grande que les raquettes de tennis de forme ovale, mais est plus légère et structurellement plus solide que les raquettes rectangulaires dépourvues de ces caractéristiques.
