Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Bestimmung und/oder Überwachung des Massedurchflusses eines durch eine Rohrleitung (1) strömenden Messmediums (2). Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren weist die folgenden Verfahrensschritte auf: ein beheizbarer Temperatursensor (3) wird mit dem Messmedium (2) in thermischen Kontakt gebracht; eine dem Temperatursensor (3) zugeordnete Heizeinheit (4) wird mit einem alternierenden Spannungs- oder Stromsignal beaufschlagt; der Massedurchfluss des Messmediums (2) durch die Rohrleitung (1) wird anhand der Amplitude und/oder anhand der Phase des Temperaturmesssignals bestimmt, wobei das Temperaturmessignal dem Antwortsignal des Temperatursensors (3) auf die von der Heizeinheit (4) zugeführte alternierende Heizleistung entspricht.
