Abstract

Electric-motor based opening and closing colored glass on a welding mask has electric-motor which over yokes of driving cogwheel to a gear bar/screwed spindle (5) and by rotation of driving cogwheel along gear bar/screwed spindle (5) lifts colored glass (3), and by pressing the knob (11) on a remote control (8) closes electrical circuit, giving power to the electric-motor. Opening a colored glass (3) starts with pressing the knob (12) on a remote control (8) what changes direction of rotation of electric-motor, and by that also changes direction of lowering rotation of coil spindle, what lowers colored glass in a lower position.

Description

ELECTRIC-MOTOR BASED OPENING AND CLOSING COLORED GLASS
ON A WELDING MASK BY REMOTE-CONTROL Technical Field
This invention relates to a welding mask which is equipped with device with electric-motor driven opening and closing a colored glass, and according to the International Classifications of Patents (ICP) it is classified as A61F 9/06 , as work equipment for protection during welding operations.
Background Art
Major problems that welding workers faced with for many years, while using classical welding masks have been: engagement of one hand which holds mask; impossibility of full and momentary protection from flash at the beginning of welding operation; impossibility to precisely begins welding operation; impossibility to hold part being welded by own hand and simultaneously do welding and be protected.
Existing welding masks, with installed laser system for eye protection, are very sensible on hits, their life time is short, and even more they are too expensive and as such not available to the most of welding workers Suggested solutions by this time are non-efficient, outdated or too expensive and sensible. Traditional types of welding masks do not fully protect eyes and face of welders, which results in different degree of burns of skin, health problems, pains and other problems with eyes, and all of that significantly reduce work capabilities of professional and amateur welders, and by time reduce productiveness, and result in early work invalidity. Also, using welding mask inevitably requires engagement of one hand, what reduces hands capability for 50% and reduces preciseness of beginning of welding operation, and that often leads to the necessary repetitions of operation or corrections, which results in different damaging or unwanted consequences.
So called "Laser" or state-of-the-art welding masks are too sensible on hits, and because of that they reduce work relaxedness and concentration of welders. Laser welding masks are too expensive and as such they are permanently not available to the 90% of professional and amateur welders. Laser welding masks are very complex to produce, what results in a high price and short life of their functions. In the known state of techniques there are no solutions such as direct current based electric-motor driven closing and opening colored glass on a welding mask.
Disclosure of Invention
Primary objective of the invention is to fully and efficiently protect welding worker's face and eyes and simultaneously enable both hands operable in each phase of welding operation, which makes welding worker 100% capable for work and 100% efficient in relation to the quality and productivity of welding operation. Secondary objective is to enable on a massive scale serial production of the welding masks of high technical and functional characteristics. Further objective of the invention is to considerably lengthen life and usage of the welding masks, and significantly make welding operation easier. Additional objectives of the invention are new welding mask with this new technical solution for opening and closing colored glass, which is acceptable and available to each welder considering its market price
This device with electric-motor driven opening and closing a colored glass on a welding mask, under this invention includes, frame, in a crossing section view "F" profile, guide for colored glass with inside channel and upper margin, and also includes electric-motor drive yoked to a gear bar/screwed spindle which is holder or lifter of colored glass, and external protecting and transparent thin wall, and all fixed on an external front side of housing or on a body of the mask in cut-out for observation. Closing a colored glass by electric- motor drive is possible because of direct current from battery power-supply which is placed on the internal side of welding mask, and switching on-off of power supply is done by hand remote-control placed on a pincers for welding within reach of a thumb of a hand which holds pincers. Brief Description of Drawings Figurel shows 3D look of the mask with device in interaction of parts and assemblies of device. Figure 2 shows 3D look of the hand remote-control Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
Referring to the Figures 1 and 2, we can see that invention includes colored glass (3), main electric-motor drive (4), which is yoked to a driving cogwheel (7) by gear bar/screwed spindle (5), which is in the same time holder or lifter of a colored glass (3). According to this invention, when electric-motor is switched on, cogwheel (7) moves gear bar/screwed spindle/carrier of colored glass and closes cut-out for observation on the mask, moving up colored glass in a final closed upper position. According to this invention, opening a colored glass (3) is possible because electric-motor by opposite direction rotation pulls gear bar/screwed spindle (5). Electric-motor as well as other devices and their components can be made of adequate different materials according to the known technical- technological procedures for production of those devices and components. As it is accomplished here, functioning of this device is made possible thanks to the frame (6) with inside groove/guides of "F" profile for colored glass (3) and for positioning an external protecting and transparent thin wall, which is made of adequate material.
According to this invention, remote control (8) over knobs (1 1) and (12) enables switching on and off of power to the electric-motor, or in other words enables change of direction of its rotation, and all of that fixed on the welding pincers within reach of a thumb of a welder's hand. Device is fixed on housing or on body of the welding mask (1), and mask can be put on a head with help of holders (2) of welding mask, which are adjustable to the different size of heads. Industrial Applicability
Installation of this new device-invention enables practical, long-life, and useful functioning of device in the all types of welding operations, and which can be economically produced and which includes very crucial improvements in relation to the classical welding masks
