Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a protective clothing or lining for motorcyclists comprising a loop knitted fabric of abrasion resistant fibres.
  • Such a fabric is known from US-A-5,887,453 and provides high abrasion resistance when combined with a second fabric of high tensile strength as well as good comfort to the wearer.
  • the known loop knitted fabric consists of fibres of KEVLAR ® or the like. Such fibres are not preferable from an economical or environmental point of view and it would be desirable to replace the known fabric with a more economical material layer, which also should be more suitable from an environmental point of view.
