Abstract

A needle for embedding the catgut into the body at a point, comprises a needle tube with a handle and a needle hub with a handle, which can be inserted into the needle tube. The needle tube and the needle hub are both line-shaped element, the needle hub can be rotatablely inserted into the interior of the needle tube, and the lower portion of the needle tube have a declining cut. The outer profile of the needle tube and the needle hub can be any of shape which can be operated easily, and a sheath is provided on the lower portion of the needle tube.

Description

NEEDLE FOR EMBEDDING A CATGUT INTO THE BODYAT A POINT
This application claims the benefit of the Chinese patent application No. 200420066599.0 filed on June 24, 2004, which is hereby incorporated by reference.
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present Utility Model relates generally to a medical instrument belonging to the range of acupuncture,particularly to a needle for embedding a catgut into the body at a point.
BACKGROUND ART
Chinese Utility Model patent No. ZL 98252138.3, which was previously filed by the present applicant, relates to a needle for embedding a catgut into the body at a point. This kind of needle includes a needle tube and a needle hub which can be inserted into the said needle tube, wherein, the lower portion of the needle tube is bent and provided a declining cut, the top of which forms a sharp blade, and there is a declining clamp portion for the catgut at the cut, which forms a certain angle with the needle tube. The embedding ina single line and the longtitudinal embedding can both be performed through the corporation between the needle tube and the needle hub, and also, the transverse embedding and the embedding in double lines, that is U-shaped embedding, can both be performed through the clamp portion for the catgut, however, there exists following disadvantages :
1. The needle hub should be pushed to embed the catgut into the body only through the cooperation of the slot disposed on the upper portion of the needle tube and the corresponding protuberance disposed on the handle of the needle hub , therefore,said structure needs to be positioned very accurately during the operation, which will directly affect the speed of the movement by the needle hub. As a result, it is impossible to guarantee that the catgut can be embedded into the body without causing any big injury accomponied by obvious pain.
2.The lower portion of the above-cited needle tube is bent and provided a declining clamp portion for the catgut, therefore, it will easily cause clamping when the needle hub is withdrawn after embedding, and also increase the pain and further influence the effect of burying the catgut.
3. The needle hub of of the above-cited needle is relatively long, and the lower portion of the needle tube which contact directly with the embedding portion has no protector provided, therefore, the dirt and pathogen from the outside will be easily brought into the embedding portion during the operation.
CONTENTS OF THE UTILITY MODEL
Accordingly, the object of the present Utility Model is to provide a needle for embedding the catgut into the body at a point, with little injury and no pain to the human body. To achieve the above-mentioned objects of the present Utility Model, the present Utility Model provides a needle for embedding the catgut into the body at a point, which comprise a needle tube with a handle and a needle hub with a handle, which can be inserted into the needle tube, wherein, the needle tube and the needle hub both are line type element, the needle hub can rotatably be inserted into the needle tube, and the lower portion of the needle tube have a declining cut.
The handle of the needle tube can be disposed on the upper portion of the needle tube, with a profile of any shape,that can be grasped easily, such as loquat-shaped and cucurbit-shaped , and the handle of the needle tube is hollow, which is for receiving the upper portion of the needle tube, and for receiving the needle hub that passes through it.
The handle of the needle hub can be of any shape, which can be grasped easily, such as hemisphere-shapedand cucurbit-shaped.
In the preferred embodiments of the Utility Model, the lower portion of the needle tube can be disposed with a sheath, for protecting the lower portion of the needle tube and the needle hub from the bacteria, so that the lower portion of the needle tube near the embedding portion can be kept clear.
During the operation of this needle for embedding the catgut into the body at a point according to the Utility Model, the operator should grasp with one hand the handle of the needle tube, and with the other hand should insert the needle of hub into the needle tube, in doing so, the embedding of the catgut can be accomplished very quickly.
The advantages of the Utility Model compared with the prior art are as follows:
1. As the needle tube and the needle hub both are line-shaped elements and the needle hub can be rotatably inserted into the inner of the needle tube, the embedding of the catgut can be accomplished simply by inserting the needle hub into the inner of the needle tube, and do not require any positioning structure to be aligned. Therefore, the needle according to the Utility Model can be operated easily, and the pain caused by the embedding of the catgut can also be reduced greatly, and the accomponied pain can also be lightened.
2. The lower portion of the needle tube according to the Utility Model is disposed with a declining cut, therefore, the catgut can not be blocked when it is withdrawn after the completion of embedding.
3. The handle of the needle tube is relatively long, while the exposed portion of the needle tube is relatively short, therefore, the invasion of bacteria from the outer can be reduced, and the operation can be more hygienic
4. In the preferred embodiments of the Utility Model, the exterior of the needle tube is disposed with a sheath, which can maintain the cleanness of the exterior of the needle tube when it is not used and keep the bacteria from the outer be brought into the embedding portion, therefore, it is more hygienic and safe.
5. The ergonomic design of the outer profile of the needle tube and the needle hub according to the Utility Model make it possible to enhance the speediness and the safety of the operation. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The above and other objects and features of the present Utility Model will become apparent from the following description of preferred embodiments, together with the accompanying drawing, in which:
Figs. 1 is a schematic view, which shows the assemble process of the each parts of the needle according to the UTILITY MODEL;
Figs. 2 is a schematic view, which shows the structure of the needle after assembling;
Figs. 3 is a schematic view, which shows the structure of the handle of the needle tube and the needle hub; and
Figs. 4 is a schematic view, which shows the structure of the needle hub of the needle according to the UTILITY MODEL.
DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
The preferred embodiments of the Utility Model are described hereinafter by way of examples with reference to the accompanying drawings in order to explain the Utility Model in greater detail.
The needle for embedding the catgut into the body at a point according to the preferred embodiments of the Utility Model comprises a needle tube 1 with a handle of the needle tube 3, a needle tube 1 that can be inserted and a needle hub 2 with a handle of the needle hub 5 and a sheath of the needle tube 4, wherein, the assembling process of the above parts is shown in Fig. 1, and the structure after assembling of each parts is shown in Fig.2.
The needle tube 1 and the needle hub 2 are both line-shaped elements, the needle hub 2 can be rotatably inserted into the interior of the needle tube 1, both of which have a cylindrical fitness surface. During the operation of the embedding the catgut into the body, the needle hub 2 can move smoothly along the inner of the needle tube 1 up and down.
As shown in Fig.l and Fig.3, the upper portion of the needle tube 1 provided a handle of the needle tube 3, which is a loquat-shaped element and is a hollow element. The upper portion of the needle tube 1 can fit with the hollow portion of the handle of the needle tube 3, and the lower portion of the needle tube 1 provided a declining cut. The lower portion of the needle tube 1 is covered by the sheath 4, which covers the exposed portion of the needle tube 3. The length of the sheath 4 should be longer than that of the exposed portion of the needle tube 3, so as to prevent the exposed portion from contacting with the exterior parts.
As shown in Fig.4, the upper portion of the needle hub 2 provided a handle of the needle hub 5, wherein, the upper portion of the needle hub 2 is inserted into the handle of the needle hub 5, which is almost a hemispherical shaped element, so as to be grasped easily by the operator. During the embedding of the catgut into the body, the needle hub 2 moves through the hollow portion of the handle of the needle tube 3 from its upper portion, and then, the needle tube 1 is inserted, and the catgut can be embedded into the desired portion at a point from the lower portion of the needle tube 1. The present embodiments are the best embodiments of the present application and define by no means the protection scope of the present Utility Model. While the present Utility Model has been described and illustrated herein with reference to the preferred embodiments thereof, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various changes and modifications may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the Utility Model. Thus, it is intended that the present Utility Model cover the modifications and variations of this Utility Model that come within the scope of the appended claims and their equivalents.

Claims

1. A needle for embedding the catgut into the body at a point, comprising: a needle tube and a needle hub, which are both line shaped elements and have a handle, wherein, the needle hub can be rotatably inserted into the interior of the needle tube and the lower portion of the needle tube having a declining cut.
2. The needle according to Claim 1, wherein the outer profile of the handle of the needle tube is a loquat-shaped element.
3. The needle according to Claim 1 or 2, wherein the lower portion of the needle tube provided a sheath.
4. The needle according to Claim 3, wherein the length of the sheath is longer than that of exposed portion of the lower portion of the needle tube.
5. The needle according to Claim 4, wherein the handle of the needle tube is provided on the upper portion of the needle tube.
6. The needle according to Claim 5, wherein the handle of the needle tube is a hollow element.
