Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'alcool dihydroxy C2-4 et de polyol par craquage de sorbitol dans une phase aqueuse, en particulier un procédé de fabrication d'alcool dihydroxy C2-4 et de polyol en utilisant du blé comme matière première pour obtenir du sorbitol, avant hydrocraquage du sorbitol. Le processus englobe l'hydrocraquage du sorbitol pour obtenir un mélange d'alcool dihydroxy C2-4 et de polyol en présence d'hydroxyde de sodium et de catalyseur de craquage Ni/Ru à haute température et à une pression élevée, et l'élaboration des produits individuels par séparation et raffinage. Le processus de l'invention a de nombreux avantages: le déroulement de la production est novateur, les conditions de traitement sont uniques, plusieurs types d'alcool peuvent être obtenus simultanément et la qualité des produits est meilleure que celle obtenue avec les autres processus. Un autre avantage majeur de l'invention réside dans le fait que le processus peut utiliser du grain comme le blé en tant que matière première, c'est-à-dire une ressource renouvelable au lieu d'une ressource non renouvelable.
