Abstract

A system (100) enables a user to select a program from a plurality of programs being broadcast. The system includes means (150) for obtaining for each of the programs a measure of a popularity of the program and selection means (134, 138) for selecting at least one of the programs in dependence on the corresponding popularity measures. The selected program is rendered to a user.
