Abstract

A tea bag wrapper (1) is disclosed. Its design helps maintain flavor before use, makes it easy to open and use, and resolves the problem of wringing out the used bag and adequately disposing of it.

Description

TEA BAG WRAPPER THAT CAN BE USED TO WRING OUT USED BAGS
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Field of application
This invention relates to a new tea bag wrapper that can be used to wring out used tea bags. According to the international classification (IPC), it is classified as: B-65-D-5/02 - forming a tubular body by folding or erecting a single blank with or without subsequent folding operations, or the addition of separate elements, to close the ends of the body.
Technical problem
The introduction of tea bags to be used by households and catering industry created the problem of how to wring out a tea bag after using it and taking it out of the vessel (cup) where tea has been made. This is usually done by putting the tea bag on the teaspoon and wringing it out by wrapping its own string around it, or by placing the tea bag on the saucer where if drip-dries, which may stain the fable and utensils.
Status of technology
We searched the database of the European Patent Office on 09. November 2004 and found several solutions for this problem, but most of them proposed special wringing tools, which would require additional costs and would not provide all tea bag users with a solution for the mentioned problem.
Essence of this invention
The primary goal of this -invention is to pack tea in such a way that the wrapper itself makes it possible to wring out the used tea bag. Its secondary goal is to reasonably prevent the loss of flavor over time and to provide for successful ecologic disposal of the used tea bag.
Other goals and advantages of this invention will be shown in the following description and partly seen in its application.
The commercial tea bag wrapper in this invention is a unique product that prevents the loss of tea flavor and makes it possible to wring out and ecologically remove the used tea bag.
The tea bag wrapper will be made of paper with inner plastic coating or of biodegradable plastic foil suitable for printing, so that the product logo and description can be printed on the wrapper. Such a wrapper can be used to prevent the loss of flavor and to wring out the used tea bag without getting soaked itself. The tea bag, which is dunked in the cup, will stay as it is now, so there will be no need to change product lines of tea bags. Only the external wrapper will change its production form, which is currently a small "paper envelope" that contains the tea bag itself.
Short description of the drawings
Fig. 1 shows the proposed design of the closed wrapper with its general dimensions (in line with the standard dimensions of a tea bag).
Fig. 2 shows the proposed detailed plan of the wrapper with specified items. Fig. 3 shows the first phase of use, i.e. what an opened wrapper looks like, with specified items. Fig. 4 shows the second phase of use with specified items.
How this invention is used
The closed wrapper is opened by ripping the marked part that is weakened over the entire width. Further pulling of the ripped part releases the string that is sealed in the edge of the wrapper up to the hole in the other end. The tea bag slides from the wrapper, pulling the string, which stops where the ripped part of the wrapper is attached. The bag is dunked in the cup of hot water in the usual way. When the tea is ready, we take the ripped part of the wrapper, pull the tea bag on its string back into the wrapper, and wring it out by pressing it with our fingers. Then we can put it down, as it does not drip any more, so there is no risk of staining the tablecloth or anything else.
How this invention is applied
All of the above shows that this invention provides a practical and above all economical solution for the above problem, being easy and cheap to produce and significantly improving the currently known and offered solutions.
Experts will readily understand that this invention can undergo many modifications without losing its spirit and scope.

Claims

PATENT CLAIMS
1. A tea bag wrapper (item 1) made to preserve tea flavor, be easily opened, and wring out the used tea bag by pulling it back into the wrapper.
2. The tea bag wrapper (item 1) from claim 1, opened by ripping its lower edge along the weakened line (item 3), around 10-15 mm wide, the lower part of the wrapping (item 2) having a string (item 4) connecting it to the tea bag (item 6).
3. The tea bag wrapper (item 1) from claim 1, wherein a part of the length of the string (item 4), sealed in the wrapper's outer edge (item 5), is pulled from said edge during the opening, said edge (item 6) being weakened because of the string (item 4), with reference to the drawing 2/4.
4. The tea bag wrapper (item 1) from claim 1, made of paper that has plastic on the inside (the side next to the tea bag), helping to preserve the flavor and to make the tea bag slide more smoothly (item 1), with reference to the drawing 3/4.
5. The tea bag wrapper (item 1) from claim 1, made of biodegradable plastic foil on the inside (the side next to the tea bag), helping to preserve the flavor and to make the tea bag slide more smoothly (item 1), with reference to the drawing 3/4.
6. The tea bag wrapper (item 1) from claim 1, wherein the used tea bag is pulled back into the wrapper (item 1) by handling the wrapper's ripped edge (item 2) and pulling the string (item 4), so that the bag can be wrung out through the wrapper (item 1), with reference to the drawing 4/4.
