Abstract

La présente invention concerne des camails, des protections d'encolure et des procédés permettant de les réaliser, lesquels camails et protections offrent un confort et un ajustement améliorés. Un tel camail, ou une telle protection d'encolure, comprend une portion de base (110), une portion d'encolure supérieure (120), et un gousset (140) couplé entre la portion de base et la portion d'encolure supérieure. Chacune des portions et le gousset sont généralement symétriques par rapport à une ligne médiane commune (160). Le gousset est conçu pour permettre un mouvement articulé de la portion d'encolure supérieure par rapport à la portion de base lorsque la portion d'encolure supérieure est tournée par rapport à la portion de base. Il découle de ce qui précède que la protection d'encolure peut se déployer lorsque un cheval (300) ou tout autre animal porte cette protection et qu'il baisse la tête pour paître, boire, manger, etc.
