Abstract

There is provided a hair iron (1) comprising first and second jaws (3, 5) at least one of which carries a heating element (7, 9), the jaws (3, 5) being moveable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. In one embodiment the iron (1) comprises connector means for connecting to a battery unit (19) and a heating element (7, 9) of the iron is arranged to be powered by said battery unit (19).
