Abstract

La présente invention concerne une orthèse ambidextre de poignet constituée d'une part d'un support (1) apte à être positionné autour du poignet d'un patient et d'autre part, d'au moins une éclisse dite palmaire (2) coopérant avec ledit support (1) de manière à immobiliser le poignet dudit patient, remarquable en ce qu'elle est constituée d'une armature centrale (3) apte à recevoir l'éclisse palmaire (2) qui s'étend d'une extrémité à l'autre de l'armature centrale (3), une première bande de positionnement distale (6), une bande de positionnement proximale (5) et une bande de positionnement médiane (7) de telle manière que le trapèze de la main du patient s'étende entre les bandes médiane (7) et distale (6), lesdites bandes de positionnement proximale (5), distale (6) et médiane (7) d'une part comprenant à leurs extrémités libres des moyens de fixation (9) aptes à coopérer avec des moyens de fixation complémentaires solidaires de la face externe (5b,6b,7b) des bandes (5,6,7) et d'autre part, présentant une longueur suffisante pour envelopper respectivement les métacarpiens de la main du patient jusqu'aux articulations radio cubitales inférieures, l'avant bras du patient et l’extrémité distale du cubitus du patient.
