Abstract

Selon la présente invention, un système de production de gaz (10) comprend une base (14) et un chapeau (16), un élément parmi la base (14) et le chapeau (16) possédant au moins une rainure (34) formée de façon à permettre une communication fluidique entre une chambre de combustion (18) du générateur de gaz et l'extérieur de ladite chambre de combustion (18). L'autre élément parmi la base (14) et le chapeau (16) recouvre la rainure (34) de manière à former au moins un passage fermé (36) s'étendant le long de la rainure (34) afin d'établir une communication fluidique entre la chambre de combustion (18) et l'extérieur de la chambre de combustion. Selon un autre aspect, un système de production de gaz (10) comporte une base (14) et un chapeau (16). Une composition de génération de gaz (20) à température d'auto-allumage est disposée au sein du système de production de gaz (10). Une composition adhésive (30) à température de décomposition permet de fixer le chapeau (16) sur la base (14). Cette température de décomposition de la composition adhésive (30) est inférieure à la température d'auto-allumage de la composition de génération de gaz (20). Ladite invention a également pour objet un procédé de fabrication d'un système de génération de gaz (10) et un système de protection des occupants d'un véhicule (180) doté d'un système de génération de gaz (10).
