Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Abstandsmessvorrichtung, ein Sensormodul und ein Verfahren zum Messen des Abstandes zwischen einem Fahrzeug und einem Hindernis mit Hilfe einer Ultraschallwandlereinrichtung. Die Wandlereinrichtung umfasst eine selbständig eigenschwingungsfähige Deckplatte mit einer Oberfläche, welche schallabstrahlend oder schallempfangend betrieben wird. Sowohl der Sende- wie auch der Empfangsbetrieb wird mit Hilfe einer Mehrzahl von an die Deckplatte angekoppelten und als Piezo-Schwinger ausgebildeten Lamellen realisiert. Erfindungsgemäß wird eine derartige Ultraschallwandlereinrichtung wie folgt betrieben: Aussenden eines Sendesignals über die Oberfläche auf das Hindernis; Empfangen eines zugeordneten Echosignals und Auswerten des Echosignals während eines zeitlichen Hörfensters in Bezug auf einen Schwellenwert, dessen zeitlicher Verlauf während des Hörfensters nach Maßgabe von Fahrzeugdaten veränderbar ist.
